Joining The Club
We are always willing to accept new members. We do sweep rowing and sculling. We take experienced rowers, beginners, and never-been-in-a-shell before rowers. We always need coxswains, so if you can cox, we'll welcome you with open arms. Rowers, scullers, coxes, launch drivers, ergers, helpers - if you want to join the club, contact us and we'll make you welcome.
- If you're an active experienced rower, we'll slot you straight into our crew schedules.
- If you're an ex-rower or a beginner, we'll initially slot you into our training schedules, and then you'll move to our more experienced crews.
- If you've never been in a shell before, we'll start at the start. You'll spend a few sessions on land, getting familiar with the gear and the basic rowing motions. Then you'll get initial training sessions in a shell. And then you'll be merged into our training crews.
- Several times a year, we hold our Learn-To-Row program. If you miss one, we can often fold you into the club with lessons during regular times. Contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
