Who: Gosport Rowing Club, Hampton Roads Rowing Club, Rivanna Rowing Club, Virginia Beach Belles, Virginia Beach Rowing Club, Virginia Boat Club, Virginia Rowing Club and Williamsburg Masters are invited to compete. The event is hosted by Juniper Rowing Club.
What: 2005 Botanical Garden Sprints. 1000m course. Race categories: recreational/novice, masters, open and mixed men & women; 1X, 2X, 2-, 4+, 8. Youth and non-masters permitted to round out boats. Awards for top 3 finishers and a new Sprints Points trophy.
Where: Norfolk Botanical Gardens. The directions and a map can be found HERE, and another map can be found HERE.
When: August 20th, 2005. 0930 race start, 0900 pre-race coaches/cox meeting (flexible to allow for those distant clubs to arrive and prep). There will be a picnic following the races.
Race Fee: $10.00/sculler/rower
Parking: $5.00/vehicle in Norfolk Botanical Gardens.
